Handing over the future…

It’s official. It’s coming. Beijing said goodbye to the Olympics today and the London party cranked up. We were given 8 minutes to give the world a hint of what is to come in four years - and Im glad they chose a London bus, David Beckham and Leona Lewis to consume a huge amount of that. Surely if anyone embodies Olympic spirit its Leona. Two years ago, nobody knew her. X Factor came, she put aside nerves and harsh rejections and fought on until she completely pissed all over the competition and today rightfully represents this country on a world stage. Shes funky, talented and unique. Just like London. Now we all know our little island wont be able to spend the same amount of money on the Olympics as China - and rightfully so. I’m certain we dont need to and most people are already unhappy with how huge the budget is with four more years of spending to go! However, I do think this country is very good at throwing a party when it has to. And a slightly insane one at that, if the London bus which turns into a bush is anything to go by. I sense London 2012 might be a little bizarre and definitely unique, but very British. I actually cant wait! Watch it all again HERE
