One way or another Ive come into contact with Autism in its varying different forms several times in my life. And one thing has always struck me. One simple thing. The loneliness and isolation many autism sufferers come up against. Many just have their devoted families for support as the outside world is too scared to even approach or try and understand autism sufferers as “real” people. By doing this they are missing out on people with a lot to offer and are in fact making the condition more intolerable than it needs to be. The National Autistic Society has started the “I Exist” campaign - a simple idea to make the general public wake up and realise Autism sufferers are everywhere, and they need friends and support like everyone else. Take a look and pledge to help..
